Bird Park, Kuala Lumpur

Bird Park is one of the best place for people who love birds and is about 4.5km far from center. The Bird Park is located near the Malaysian Police Museum, National Mosque and Lake Garden. It is also very close to the National Museum. The park spread over 20.9 acres of land. KL Bird Park started its journey as a tourist destination in 1991.More than three thousand birds of 200 species both local and foreign in the park. Most birds are endemic, except for a small number of exotic birds.

Bird Park can be the best place for family day out especially with children. The Park consists of four different feature areas. Birds are free to fly in zone 1-3 and the birds in Zone 4 have been kept in individual cages and aviaries. There are colorful 20 types of parrots and many peacocks in the park. The hornbill park is in zone 3 and also the Hornbill restaurant where you can eat some delicious foods although expensive. Spending two hours in the park probably good enough.

You are allowed to feed birds but their provided food. Taking photo with birds is the most attractive part of the tour. Some birds sit on your hand or shoulders, some birds stay close to you. It is also looking great that birds playing near you when you walk. Monkeys jumping on the trees, peacocks roaming and parrots fly around.

In the sunny day it’s so hot except in the restaurant and school area. Morning is the better time to visit the park. Bring your drinks with you because inside the park it’s expensive. Raining in the Malaysia is common year round even the day starts with sun. So remember to take your umbrella.
