National Museum is the place to know about Malaysian cultural and geographical history from prehistoric days to modern days. The museum has four galleries where you can see many historical artifacts related to diverse culture and tribes of Malaysia.The museum is well organized and clearly explained everything. All collections are marked by signage both Malay and English. An hour can be good time to spend in the museum to know info about Malaysian history and traditions.

Exhibition Sections
Prehistory
Prehistory section located on the first floor. In this gallery displays the significant collection about prehistoric archaeological.
Malay Kingdom
This section provides information about the historical Malay States. Besides, there are many exhibits and facts on the spice trade and the spread of Islam in Malaccan Empire in the 15th century.
Colonial Era
This gallery deals with the Portuguese, Dutch, British and Japanese colonies started in the fifteenth century. And various aspects of World War II in the Malaccan region.
Modern Malaysia
There are many information about present Malaysia and its development.
How to go at location
Train is the best option to go at National Museum. Ride on Mrt Line and get down at station Muzium Negara. From KL Sentral RapidKL bus No. 115 also go there. The distance from KL Sentral not much. You can simply walk from KL Sentral following the Mrt station sign. KL Sentral and Muzium Negara station is closely located. Sometimes it also walking distance if your hotel is near KL Sentral.
